Darren Waterston (CRF 2005) presents Works and Days at DC Moore Gallery in New York City, on view through Saturday, November 22nd, 2025. The show includes new paintings, works on paper, and a site-specific mural. This new body of work explores the history of landscape painting and the inherent tensions in the genre. Following the completion of site-specific murals for the Frick Collection this year, the new paintings further develop his study of the pastoral landscape. Taking inspiration from Italian and Northern Renaissance landscapes, Waterston complicates these idealized visions of nature and reveals their underlying psychological dimensions.
