Dawit L. Petros
Dawit L. Petros is a visual artist, researcher, and educator whose study of history informs a sustained examination of displaced legacies and their contemporary effects. Petros installs photographs, films, sculptural objects, and sound work according to performative, painterly, or site-responsive logics. A 20-year retrospective of his work is currently on view at The Image Center in Toronto. He will be participating in the forthcoming Toronto Biennial with an installation across six sites at the Aga Khan Museum in Toronto. Petros is the co-founder, with Heba Y.
