The Academy of American Poets’ annual gala will happen virtually on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 7:30 PM EDT. Each year during National Poetry Month, now in its 25th year, AAP presents their gala in celebration of poetry’s important place in our culture, and its impact on the lives of readers and artists working in other disciplines. Among this year’s featured readers is Terrance Hayes (CRF 2015). Contributions support National Poetry Month and AAP’s Education Program, which provides free resources to teachers.
