Wadada Leo Smith (CRF 2003) and Tomeka Reid (Incoming Music Fellow 2022) were named 2021 United States Artists Fellows in Music while Alexander Chee (CRF 2011) and Ocean Vuong (CRF 2016) were awarded in Writing. USA Fellowships are annual, unrestricted awards that celebrate artists and cultural practitioners who have significantly contributed to the creative landscape and arts ecosystem of the country.
