Blaise Joseph

Blaise Joseph is an artist and art educator based in India. Since 2018, he has been the program manager and curator of the Art Room Project, part of the Art By Children Programme at the Kochi Bienniale. In his art practice he uses natural materials and engages with socio-economic, political, and environmental issues. His works were shown in Lokame Tharavadu, an exhibition curated by Bose Krishnamachari. He has painted several murals in cities like Kolkata, Delhi, Bangalore, and Patna. He has worked extensively on art projects with different communities across India.

Rajna Swaminathan
Music, USA/India

Rajna Swaminathan is an acclaimed mrudangam artist, composer, and scholar. She explores the undercurrents of rhythmic experience and emergent textures in collective improvisation, while seeking resonance and fluidity among aesthetic worlds. Rajna has been commissioned by the LA Phil, National Sawdust, Chamber Music America, and Bang On A Can, among others. She holds a PhD in Music (Creative Practice and Critical Inquiry) from Harvard University and is currently an Assistant Professor of Music (Integrated Composition, Improvisation, and Technology) at the University of California Irvine.
