This past summer, Director’s Guest and filmmaker Gael Towey gave Civitella the remarkable gift of directing a video commemorating our Foundation’s 25 years of serving international writers, artists and composers. It gives us great pleasure to announce that the video is now ready to be viewed in two different formats: a 15-minute extended cut and a condensed, 7-minute version.
Beautifully filmed by Joe Tomcho, the videos take viewers on a journey into the heart and soul of Civitella, painting an intimate portrait of its architecture and grounds, its people and its programming, and the spirit of international fellowship that is its lifeblood. Set to a soundtrack of works by Civitellian composers, the footage follows Fellows into their studios, on their strolls, and as they break bread together, and features interviews that shed light on the life-changing power of time at Civitella. The artists’ reflections reaffirm the important role Civitella plays in our divided times.
You can view the videos on our youtube channel or on our website. Enjoy and share!
