Three Civitellian composers’ work will be performed by Mivos Quartet on November 22nd at 7:30PM as part of the 2023 Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival in the UK.

Israeli composer Sivan Eldar’s (CRF 2021) “Solicitations” transforms words and physicality into a three-movement web of musical gestures, ranging from the delicate up to the ravishing.

American composer Henry Threadgill’s (CRF 2001) “Sixfivetwo” combines terse harmonic language with the fluidity of improvisation and long melodic phrases.

American composer George Lewis’ (CRF 1998, Juror) “String Quartet 2.5, Playing With Seeds” masterfully encapsulates his kaleidoscopic range of compositional aesthetics into a riveting musical journey.
