Celia Hempton (CRF 2014, Juror), Wardell Milan (Incoming Visual Arts Fellow 2024), and Paul Mpagi Sepuya have a group exhibition, “FRAGMENTED BODIES,” at Galleria Lorcan O’Neill in Rome, on view until June 24th.

According to the gallery, “Celia Hempton (1981, UK), Wardell Milan (1977, USA), and Paul Mpagi Sepuya (1982, USA) share an interest in representing the human body as a fractured site rather than a unitary entity. Scrutinised, reflected, parsed and reassembled, the figures in the work of Hempton, Milan, and Sepuya reflect sympathies towards a number of current discussions in contemporary culture: the complexities of desire, the social construct of gender roles, the need to be seen and represented, and issues of freedom itself.”
