Many Civitellians have performances and premieres featured in NY Philharmonic’s 2022-23 season.

On Friday, October 28th at 7:30PM, Angélica Negrón (Incoming Music Fellow 2023) will premiere a new NY Phil-commissioned work at the New David Geffen Hall Opening Gala.

For the NY Phil Returns Home series on October 12th, 13th, 15th, and 18th, Marcos Balter (CRF 2012, Juror) will have a world premiere of a NY Phil-commissioned work; Advisory Council Member Tania León (CRF 2003, Juror) will present a NY Phil co-commissioned piece with the Oregon Symphony.

Kaija Saariaho (CRF 2001) will perform Ciel d’hiver in “Of Earth, Sea, and Sky” November 16th-19th.

Wang Lu (CRF 2016) will premiere a Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation Commission as part of “Lisa Batiashvili Plays Tchaikovsky” January 20th-22nd, 2023.

Missy Mazzoli (CRF 2019) will perform River Rouge Transfiguration as part of “An Evening with Yo-Yo Ma” on February 28th, 2023 at 7:30PM.

Jonathan Bailey Holland (Incoming Music Fellow 2023) performs Equality during Interlochen Arts Academy + NY Phil: MUKTI on March 3rd, 2023.

Felipe Lara (CRF 2014, Juror) will have the NY premiere of his double concerto during “Mälkki Conducts Stravinsky and Lara” March 29th-31st, 2023.

Zosha Di Castri (Juror) will perform Lineage during “Brahms, Di Castri, and Lutosławski” April 17th-29th, 2023.
