Board Member Du Yun (CRF 2015) has received the 2023 Vilcek Prize in Music. The Vilcek Foundation Prizes recognize and celebrate immigrant contributions to intellectual and cultural life in the United States. Du Yun received the prize “for her open approach to composition, which subverts the boundaries of traditional classical music by incorporating influences from punk, electronic, experimental music, and for the virtuosity of her Pulitzer Prize–winning opera, Angel’s Bone.”
