June 19th, 2026 — Congratulations to Farah Al Qasimi (CRF 2023), who was celebrated this June at the 2026 Art Basel Awards in Basel, Switzerland, as one of this year’s Emerging Artist Medalists.
Launched in 2025, the Art Basel Awards recognize artists, curators, institutions, patrons, and other cultural leaders whose work is shaping the future of contemporary art. Al Qasimi was named one of just six artists to receive an Emerging Artist Medal in 2026, joining an international cohort of visionaries whose practices are expanding the possibilities of contemporary art.
The awards were celebrated during Art Basel’s flagship fair in Basel with a week of events, including a Medalist Dinner attended by more than 200 leading figures from across the global art world and an official ceremony at Basel’s historic Town Hall, where medalists received commemorative certificates and pins.
The 2026 Art Basel Awards will continue later this year, when Gold Medalists will be selected from the current cohort and announced during Art Basel Miami Beach.
