Canisia Lubrin
Canisia Lubrin is a writer, editor and teacher whose books include fiction, Code Noir (Knopf, 2023) and poetry Voodoo Hypothesis and The Dyzgraphxst. Lubrin’s honours include the 2021 OCM Bocas Prize for Caribbean Literature, Griffin Poetry Prize, Derek Walcott Prize, a Windham-Campbell prize for poetry and Canada Council’s Joseph S. Stauffer prize for literary achievement. She is a 2022 Civitella Ranieri Fellow and Literature Haus LCB resident. In 2021 the Globe & Mail named her Poet of the Year. She is Creative Writing MFA Coordinator at the University of Guelph.
