Carlo Pizzati
Carlo Pizzati is the author of three novels, two memoirs, two non-fiction books, and two collections of short stories. A journalist for 35 years, Pizzati was a correspondent for more than 16 years at La Repubblica, reporting from New York, Rome, Mexico City, Buenos Aires, and Madrid. He was the senior Asia correspondent for La Repubblica and La Stampa and has contributed to a broad range of publications and media, from Vanity Fair and GQ to the Associated Press and The World-Public Radio International. He hosted a political talk-show in Italy in 2002.Â
Pizzati has won numerous awards, including two Gambrinus-Mazzotti literary prizes, the Leonardo International Prix, and the Igor Man Prize. Since 2014 he has taught a yearly post-graduate communication theory course about how the internet is affecting the way we absorb and communicate knowledge at the Asian College of Journalism in Chennai, India. He has also lectured extensively at a wide range of educational institutions, including his alma mater, Columbia University; New York University; Loyola University; Yonsei University; Ca’ Foscari University; and La Sapienza University.Â
