Daniel Díaz Mantilla (Havana, 1970) has published Las palmeras domésticas (short stories, 1996), en·trance (short novel, 1998), Templos y turbulencias (poetry, 2004), Regreso a Utopía (novel, 2008), Los senderos despiertos (poetry, 2009), El salvaje placer de explorar (short stories, 2014), Gravitaciones (poetry, 2018), and De la evolución de las esferas (poetry, 2023). His essays, short stories and poems have been published in several magazines and anthologies in Europe and the Americas. He was recognized with the Alejo Carpentier Award in 2014 and the Cuban Critics Award in 2015.
