Diego Mencaroni
Diego Mencaroni (Perugia 1974) holds a Degree in Political Science and a Master’s Degree in Politics, Economy and Law of the EU. He has been the Program Coordinator at the Civitella Ranieri Center since 2006, and in 2018 he was promoted as the Civitella Ranieri Residency Director. He served as Interim Executive Director in 2022, 2023, and 2024. From 2014 to 2018, he was the spokesperson for the Democratic Party in the Perugia City Hall. He is member of the Steering Committee of the Ecomuseum of the Tiber where he carries out research on local traditions, especially folk music and local language. He writes plays, short stories and poetry not only in Italian, but also in Perugino dialect. He lived abroad in Norway, Belgium and Spain, and is fluent in English, French and Spanish. He currently resides in Perugia with his wife, Arianna, and his three daughters, Gilda, Caterina, and Nora.
