All I can say is that the bar has been set extremely high for any future projects, dwellings, atmosphere, friends and FOOD! I stayed in the beautiful cottage called Pizza. I truly believe my accommodations were tailored for me in that it was private, surrounded by nature, and included a fully wired studio with a warm upright piano and djembe drum. My focus was on writing a theatrical piece using electronic recording for looping and scoring- so this was perfect. It was like having the home studio I’ve always dreamed of. The space allowed me to concentrate, reflect, and push my creativity forward with a content clarity. I thank the Civitella staff and the long history of family and artists that preceded me. My experience and accomplishment at Civitella will resonate for the rest of my life.
