Fernanda Trías was born in Uruguay and is the author of five novels and a short story collection. Pink Slime (Scribner, tr. by Heather Cleary) was longlisted for the National Book Award and received the National Uruguayan Literature Prize, the Critics’ Choice Award Bartolomé Hidalgo, and Mexico’s International Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Prize. Both The Rooftop and Pink Slime received British PEN Translates Awards. Her work has been translated into 15+ languages. She currently lives in Bogotá, Colombia, where she works as a professor and researcher in a creative writing MFA program.
