I’ve been describing my time at Civitella as six weeks in paradise! What a blessing to have the time, and space in stunning surroundings to focus wholly on composing. The kindness, and generosity of everyone working to make our time at the castle absolutely perfect is astounding. Writing my first opera was the most stressful thing I’ve ever done. Starting my second at Civitella almost felt like a breeze.
