Ilya Kaminsky was born in Odesa, Ukraine and lives in USA. He is the author of Dancing in Odessa and Deaf Republic, and translator and editor of many other books. His work received the LA Times Book Prize, The Guggenheim Fellowship, and other honors. He teaches at Princeton.
