Civitella is a place the like of which I wish were available to all artists; one in which I was able to grapple with the most difficult parts of my work in progress and to exist in a state of near-continual learning through immersion to the work of others in manifold disciplines. There is a spirit of creativity and openness in the very stone of the walls. It is the best kind of gift to have been given time to explore at Civitella.
