Kheng Sonam Dorji
Kheng Sonam Dorji is a master musician. His passion for music was inspired by his mother. At age 12, Sonam was already broadcasting songs on the radio and soon began composing his own songs. He plays musical instruments such as dramgyen, yancheng, flute, ektara, and sitar. To sustain his active research practice, he has learned eleven languages (English, Dzongka, Sharchop, Khengpa, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Nepali, Tibetan,). International audiences know Sonam through his soundtrack contributions to the acclaimed Bhutanese film, Travellers and Magicians (2004).
