Krists Auznieks is a Latvian composer whose music has been called “exhilarating and luminous” (San Francisco Classical Voice) and praised for its “extraordinarily imaginative writing” (BBC). His music has been performed at Carnegie Hall, Walt Disney Concert Hall, and the Royal Danish Theatre. The recipient of Latvia’s Grand Music Award, Wagner Scholarship, and International Rostrum of Composers Award, Krists holds a Doctorate from Yale and is an associate professor at the Latvian Academy of Music. In 2025, his work will appear at the ISCM World New Music Days in Porto and Dutch National Theatre.
