I am forever grateful to Civitella for providing me with a space to rest, heal, and create.  What a rare opportunity it is to be given an environment where you can breathe on your own terms, with no rules or creative requirements!  Being surrounded by the company of such brilliant artists inspired me to take new risks.  Here I jammed out while writing my first metal song I had previously been too afraid to write.  I also rediscovered my relationship to the piano after having not been able to play for over ten years.  Isn’t it wonderful that you can do all of these things in the same place?
