Noa Steimatsky is author of the award-winning The Face on Film (Oxford, 2017), and Italian Locations (Minnesota, 2008). She was recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, an NEH Fellowship, an ACLS Senior Fellowship, the American Academy in Rome Prize, a Getty Grant, and a Fulbright Award. She was faculty member at Yale, tenured at the University of Chicago, and guest professor at Stanford, UC-Berkeley, and Sarah Lawrence College. Her work on Cinecittà’s hidden history inspired a documentary film and is being expanded into a book. She now lives and writes in Rome.
