Rachel Eliza Griffiths is a novelist, poet, and photographer. Her recent hybrid poetry collection, Seeing the Body, was selected as the 2021 winner of the Hurston/Wright Foundation Legacy Award in Poetry, the winner of the 2021 Paterson Poetry Prize, and a finalist for the 2020 NAACP Image Award. Griffiths’ visual and literary work has appeared widely, including The New Yorker, The Paris Review, Los Angeles Review of Books, The New York Times, Best American Poetry (2020, 2021), and many others. Her debut novel, Promise, is forthcoming from Random House in 2023. She lives in New York City.
