As a professional artist and public art maker, I believe that my experience at Civitella, especially with the trips to churches and public buildings to see frescoes first- hand, helped me to understand how magnificent  public work can be. I have also gained insight into color from studying the works of Giotto and Piero della Francesca and I have appreciate they ability to tell a story which prominently included the culture of their time.
