Approaching my work in the Civitella comforts was an amazing experience and empowering. I was inspired by the castle and the stories that are associated with it and it got me thinking on how exactly to create a piece that will resonate with the castle. l wanted to create something that will reflects the energy of the places and it’s people that makes the place so this concept l felt it would be better expressed by a horse made of shoes. Thanks to the Civitella team for the donation of old shoes the concept was complete.Working on this horse gave me a sense of being reborn, rejuvenated to start creating again .
