March 19th, 2026 — Grammy-nominated alto saxophonist Immanuel Wilkins‘ (CRF 2025) first-ever live album, Immanuel Wilkins Quartet: Live At The Village Vanguard, will be released tomorrow, March 20th, beginning with Vol. 1 of the 3. Tonight, March 19th, the quartet celebrates the release with a performance of Vol. 1 at Pioneer Works in Brooklyn in what promises to be “less of a standard concert and more of a communal ritual.”
The album, a searing 3-volume document of the group in action at the world-famous NYC Village Vanguard, captures Immanuel’s quartet taking flight on expansive explorations of his originals.
The album was introduced to audiences with the quartet’s performance of Alice Coltrane’s devotional composition “CHARANAM” from her 1981 recording Turiya Sings.
