Marcellina Akpojotor

Visual Arts, Nigeria

Born in 1989 in Lagos, Nigeria, Marcellina Akpojotor combines collage and painting to explore femininity, identity, and women’s empowerment. She works with discarded Ankara fabric, investigating its cultural significance and memory. Akpojotor studied at Lagos State Polytechnic and Obafemi Awolowo University after apprenticing with her father. Her exhibitions include solo shows at Rele Gallery (Lagos, 2018; Los Angeles, 2021; London, 2024) and group shows worldwide. She participated in Art Basel Miami Beach (2021) and was a Norval Sovereign African Art Prize finalist (2025).​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​


Liliana Colanzi

Writing, Bolivia/Italy

Liliana Colanzi was born in Bolivia. She has published three short story collections: You Glow in the Dark (New Directions, 2024), Our Dead World (Dalkey Archive Press, 2017), and Vacaciones permanentes (2010). She has received the Ribera del Duero Prize (Spain, 2022), the Narrativas a Escena Award (Spain, 2024), and the Aura Estrada Literary Award (Mexico, 2015). Hay Festival Cartagena named her one of the best Latin American writers under 40 (Bogotá39, 2017). Her work has been translated into eight languages. She is the founder of the Bolivian publishing house Dum Dum Editora.
