Masashi Echigo
Visual Arts, Japan
Born in Toyama, Japan in 1982, Masashi Echigo lives and works on Shodoshima Island (Kagawa). After living in various places around the world, Echigo now creates installations on the Japanese island where he lives. The experiences in each location are expressed through installations that are spatially and emotionally connected to their respective contexts. Despite each installation being conceived independently, they inherently engage in dialogue with one another, constructing a unique narrative landscape in the process of evolution – a testament to his journey.
