Michael Chabon is a novelist and screenwriter based in Berkeley, California. His works include the Pulitzer Prize–winning novelThe Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay (2000). One of America’s most distinctive voices, Chabon has been called “a magical prose stylist” by the New York Times Book Review, and is known for his lively writing, nostalgia for bygone modes of storytelling, and deep empathy for the human predicament.
Ayelet Waldman, Writing, USA/Israel, Director’s Guest
Ayelet Waldman is the author of the novels Love and Treasure, Red Hook Road, Love and Other Impossible Pursuits, and Daughter’s Keeper, as well as the essay collections A Really Good Day and Bad Mother. She is the co-creator of the award-winning Netflix series Unbelievable and is currently adapting The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay for Netflix with Michael Chabon, her husband and television collaborator.
