The National Book Foundation has announced the 2021 National Book Awards longlist. Among those longlisted are Matrix by Lauren Groff (CRF 2021) in the fiction category, The Black Civil War Soldier: A Visual History of Conflict and Citizenship by Civitella Board Director Deborah Willis in the nonfiction category, and The Wild Fox of Yemen by Threa Almontaser (CRF 2021) in the poetry category. The 2021 Finalists will be announced on October 5th, with the awardees announced on November 17th.
