Kazumi Tanaka (CRF 2014) will be artist-in-residence, under the theme of Music, at L Wie Materie, a contemporary art gallery in Germany.
Kazumi says: “I am planning my project to be both visual and musical, and am working with local musicians to explore possibility of sound. We will collect animal remains or something of the nature and transform them to become the messenger… For me, those miniature instruments are a meditation of memory and loss. I am hoping its message and sound will apply to many layers of our emotions.” See more about the show here.
