A tribute concert to honor the memory and the legacy of Venezuelan cellist and composer Paul Desenne (CRF 2006), who died in Boston this year will be held on September 20th at Le Bal Blomet in Paris. Organized by French-Venezuelan violinist Alexis Cárdenas, the concert will bring together an ensemble of artists to perform some of Paul Desenne’s most emblematic works. Desenne’s work covered a wide range of genres and formats. His artistic approach combined anthropological precision, conceptual diversity and musical abstraction to explore constantly new ideas and sounds.
