On Monday evening, PEN America hosted its 2022 Literary Awards Ceremony. Civitella’s Senior Program Associate, Hope Campbell Gustafson, attended the event. Cathy Park Hong (CRF 2021) announced Divya Victor, author of Curb, as the recipient of the Open Book Award; as such, we will welcome Divya to the Castle as a Civitella Fellow.
Civitellians Jennifer Grotz (CRF 2021) and Piotr Sommer (CRF 2007) received the PEN Award for Poetry in Translation for their book, Everything I Don’t Know, translated to English from Jerzy Ficowski’s original Polish. Rigoberto Gonzalez (CRF 2013) announced the Pen/Voelcker Award for Poetry Collection. Congratulations to all– see the full list of awards and recipients here.
