| Saturday, February 23 at 3 pm, the Julie Saul Gallery is hosting a conversation between Sally Gall (DG 2018) and Eric Fischl. The exhibition anticipates the upcoming publication of Sally’s third monograph, Heavenly Creatures. Both exhibition and book combine her most recent work Heavenly Creatures (2016-2018) with her related previous body of work, Aerial (2014-2016.) The exhibition is up through March 2. A “meditation” by Eric Fischl accompanies the monograph that features 45 plates and will be released by powerHouse in Spring 2019. Fischl notes “this book…weaves together two stories, both having to do with wind, air and colorful shapes, but to this she brings a new perspective: these stories can only be seen from below.” More information here. |
