Sheila Pepe (CRF 2019) has a new exhibition opening June 26 in Madison Square Park. “My Neighbor’s Garden” is an outdoor installation inspired by the neighborhood gardens of New York City. Pepe uses string, cord, ties, shoelaces, rubber bands and climbing plant materials to create a fabricated garden that is accessible to all. The project is a true neighborhood project, involving collaboration with local novice and expert crocheters to bring it to life. Pepe’s installation will be up through December 10.
