Hosted by Battery Park City Authority, on Wednesday, May 11th at 6PM at 6 River Terrace, Elise Engler (CRF 2004) will give a talk on her book A Diary of the Plague Year: An Illustrated Chronicle of 2020. The book is one year of a daily drawing/painting project that lasted from late 2015 to President Biden’s inauguration in January, 2021. Made each morning from the first headlines she heard from her bedside radio, Engler’s vibrant immediate images recapture what it was like to live through 2020. For more details, click here.
Elise will join us at Civitella’s Tribeca office on Wednesday, June 1st at 6PM for a presentation and conversation between herself and Eric Orner (CRF 2017), in celebration of their recently published books: A Diary of the Plague Year: An Illustrated Chronicle of 2020 and Smahtguy: The Life and Times of Barney Frank.
