July 24th, 2026 — Congratulations to Brittany Perham (CRF 2019) on the upcoming publication of her debut memoir, Executrix (University of Georgia Press), which will be released on September 15th.

Brittany began work on Executrix during her 2019 residency at Civitella. The memoir was awarded the AWP Sue William Silverman Prize for Creative Nonfiction, selected by author Cheryl Strayed.

The memoir explores themes of family, grief, and inheritance with the lyricism and emotional depth that earned it one of the field’s most prestigious honors.

Book Launch Events

To celebrate the book’s publication, Brittany will appear at two launch events in San Francisco: September 27th at 6:00 PM at
Bazaar Writers Salon (5927 California Street, San Francisco, CA) and September 29th at 7:00 PM at City Lights Bookstore (261 Columbus Avenue, San Francisco, CA).
