Visual artist Bahar Sabzevari (CRF 2021) has been awarded a 2024 Gottlieb Foundation Grant. The awards “recognize the talents of many individuals around the world who have dedicated long careers to making art,” and aim “to alleviate some of the financial burdens on those artists so they can devote more of their time and energies to their creative endeavors.” Bahar’s current work, as she writes, “draws parallels between the resilience of Iranian women and girls and the endangered cheetahs, both striving for survival under oppressive conditions.” Congratulations, Bahar!
