June 22nd, 2026BAM’s 2026 Fall/Next Wave season programming, announced this spring, brings together artists long associated with the organization like Philip Glass and Civitella’s own Anne Bogart (DG 2026), as well as newcomers, next-generation artists like Holland Andrews and yuniya edi kwon (CRF 2024).

Anne’s adaptation of Prelude by playwright Charles L. Mee, taking place October 13th to 15th, transforms the BAM plaza into a large-scale, free outdoor performance, inviting audiences to witness fleeting encounters and moments of connection in New York City.

Also part of Next Wave 2026, yuniya and Holland, their collaborator and wife, make their BAM debuts October 21st to 25th with How does it feel to look at nothing, an interdisciplinary opera that fuses sound, movement, and ritual to ponder the ineffable.
