Fred Hersch (DG 2013) & Esperanza Spalding’s (CRF 2018) “But Not For Me” is nominated for Best Jazz Performance.
Cécile McLorin Salvant’s (Incoming Music Fellow) “Mélusine” is nominated for Best Jazz Vocal Album.
“Dynamic Maximum Tension” by Darcy James Argue’s (CRF 2017) Secret Society is nominated for Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album.
Jessie Montgomery’s (CRF 2023) “Montgomery: Rounds” (performed by Awadagin Pratt, A Far Cry & Roomful Of Teeth) as well as Missy Mazzoli’s (CRF 2019) “Mazzoli: Dark With Excessive Bright” (performed by Peter Herresthal, James Gaffigan & Bergen Philharmonic) are nominated for Best Contemporary Classical Composition.
