As every artist knows, the hardest part is getting started. Lucky for me, then, that during my time at Civitella I was able to put the wheels in motion for several long-term musical projects. As I continue the long journey towards bringing these works to fruition, wherever I am in the world (and wherever I am in the process!) I will always be reminded of the initial creative sparks that fired as I was sitting at the piano in my studio… or as I was out on a run through the hills… or as I was marveling at an ancient Etruscan tomb during an excursion to Civita di Bagnoregio. And of course, I will also be reminded of my fellow Civitellians and the friendships we forged during this magical, inspiring, creatively rejuvenating time.
