The World Is Always Again Beginning, an exhibition of work by Elle Pérez (CRF 2025), is on view at the American Academy of Arts and Letters in New York City from March 15 to July 3, 2025. The show features an evolving archive of photographs created in close collaboration with Pérez’s subjects, including newly edited early prints, a recent series shot in their grandfather’s garden in Puerto Rico, and a film made at the Papi Juice dance party in Brooklyn. Organized by curator Jenny Jaskey, the exhibition takes place in the Academy’s Audubon Terrace galleries. The show was recently reviewed in The New York Times, which praised Pérez’s ability to capture intimacy and transformation through lens-based work.
