Four-time Grammy winner and jazz bassist, singer, songwriter, and composer Esperanza Spalding (CRF 2018) is the 2021 recipient of the Richard Brettell Award in the Arts at The University of Texas at Dallas.
The award includes a $150,000 prize and will provide an opportunity for the campus community to meet and talk with the musician during a three-day residency.
