I felt blessed to spend a month in the idyllic castle where I drafted a chapter of my yet to be untitled nonfiction book and wrote poems for my fourth collection of poems. To be in Civitella was especially magical after over a year of being hemmed in by the pandemic. I’m grateful to the staff and to my Fellow residents.
