I was incredibly productive during my time at Civitella. There was a perfect balance between solitude and company, with days free for writing and evenings full of wonderful food and conversation. I regained the ability to concentrate on my work with no distractions whilst at the castle, and have stored up many experiences in my mind that will doubtless inspire new pieces of music in the future.
