Ragnhild Berstad uses nature as inspiration, workplace, and sound material in her music. Her compositions include small and large ensembles, often combined with electronics. She collaborates with glass artists in development of glass instruments. Glass symbolizes the fragility of life. Glass instruments are used in several of her works – also in the work trãnseõ, for Klangforum Wien, performed at Donaueschinger Musiktage and Ultima Festival 2021.
