Composer and performer Jerome Kitzke (CRF 2003, DG 2017) will honor poet Allen Ginsburg on October 9, 2026 at Inwood Art Works Studio in New York City with a reading of Ginsburg’s seminal poems set to Jerome’s music composed over the last 38 years. Called HOWL! — Allen Ginsberg at 100, Jerome joins a group of musicians and performers celebrating the centennial of Ginsberg’s birth.
Jerome will read Ginsburg’s seminal poems including “Howl” and “Footnote to Howl”. Each of those readings will be followed by audio recordings of the compositions Jerome made of them. The recording performances are by pianist Anthony de Mare and Jerome’s band, The Mad Coyote.
