Fridman Gallery announced the opening of Kazumi Tanaka: Beyond Silence, a solo exhibition at their Beacon location. Kazumi Tanaka (CRF 2014) makes intricate works that are meditations on memory and loss. Beyond Silence features tiny musical instruments incorporating animal skulls, seashells, wood, the artist’s own hair and other materials. Three of Tanaka’s ethereal indigo ink landscape drawings are also included in the exhibition.

The exhibition opening is on Saturday, February 18 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. The show will be open February 19 – April 3, 2022, and there will be an artist talk with Kazumi Tanaka, featuring a performance by Sara Milonovich on March 12, 2022.
